Larry Howard Plott's Obituary
Mr. Larry Howard Plott, 66, of 7840 Mooresville Road, Kannapolis, died Sunday, September 9, 2007.
A grandfather, father, son and brother, Larry was the "security-blanket" and "Kingpin" that held everyone's hopes and dreams together. Respected and beloved, he will be sorely missed.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at Central Baptist Church. The Rev. Curtis Parker, the Rev. Grady Lomax and the Rev. Allen Reid will officiate. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at Central Baptist Church. At other times, they will be at the home of his mother-in-law, Alma Mesimer, 4309 Shimpock Road, Concord.
Born June 26, 1941 in Cabarrus County, he was the son of Estelle Drye Plott Pauley and the late James Howard Plott. He was a 1960 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. He was the owner of Farm Fresh Market and FFM Trucking Company. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Alan Plott.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Mesimer Plott; four sons, Mark Plott and wife, Lisa, Jeff Plott and wife, Cindy, Christopher Plott and wife, Cindi, and Terry Plott and wife, Alisha, all of Concord; a daughter, Andrea Grider and husband, Jayme, of Concord; his mother, Estelle Drye Plott Pauley and husband, Harold E. Pauley, of Concord; two sisters, Tammie Readling and husband, Rev. Bruce Readling, of Burlington, Carolyn West and husband, Jerry L. West, of Cullowhee; a brother, Todd Plott and wife, Kim P. Plott, of Kannapolis; and 17 grandchildren, Amber Mantooth, Adam Plott, Cole Plott, Carleigh Plott, Jonathan Plott, Andrew Plott, Charlie Plott, Hunter Plott, Shae Plott, Austin Plott, Lane Plott, Calli Plott, Miyla Plott, Casey Barbee, Bradley Barbee, Caden Grider and Karsten Grider.
