Larry Dean Wright's Obituary
Mr. Larry Dean Wright, 65, of Rae Lane, Kannapolis, died Friday, January 8, 2010.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Born August 8, 1944 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late George Jacob Wright and Wincie Juanita Gilland Wright. He was retired from Parkdale Mills in Landis. An avid golfer, Dean coached youth basketball, baseball and football in Landis and at the Kannapolis YMCA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lee Upright and Deborah K. Wright; and three brothers, Robert McClellan Wright, Jerry L. Wright and George William Wright.
Survivors include three sisters, Alice Joyce Wilson, Carolyn W. Turnmire and husband Melvin, all of Kannapolis, Betty Frances Phillips of Salisbury; three brothers, David Eugene Wright and wife Rosemary of Kannapolis, Johnnie Frank Wright and wife Josie of San Antonio, TX, Darrell Wayne Wright and wife Vera of Spanaway, Washington; a sister-in-law-, Patricia Wright of Landis; and many nieces and nephews.
