Lena Bost Sechler's Obituary
Mrs. Lena Bost Sechler, 95, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Kannapolis, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011, at Vitas at Winter Park.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sechler was born September 16, 1916 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late Daniel Laban Bost and Annie Estelle Barber Bost. She worked for 55 years at Cannon Mills Plant 1 as a pillowcase hemmer.
Mrs. Sechler moved to Florida in 1991 and lived with her sister, Edna Bost.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Sechler, five sisters and two brothers. She was the seventh child.
Mrs. Sechler is survived by daughter; Loretta Capps of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren, Danette Bonds, Wayne Capps, a very special grandchild to Mrs. Sechler, and Tracy Triplett of Orlando, FL; six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews in this area.
