Lester Leroy Baker's Obituary
Mr. Lester Leroy Baker, a very dedicated, loving and caring husband, father and grandfather, 73, of 206 Sharpe Street died Thursday, January 4, 2007, at Big Elm Nursing Home.
Funeral Services for Mr. Baker will be conducted in North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church, Sunday at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Steve Beam, Rev. Ronnie Cook and Rev. Billy Honeycutt will officiate. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Lady's Funeral Home, Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Mr. Baker an avid outdoorsman and fisherman was born in Cabarrus County, August 26, 1933, a son of the late Frank Cornelius Baker and Bertha Carnes Baker. He was a member of North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church, retired from Fieldcrest-Cannon and never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Dorothy M. Baker of the home, three sons Mark Baker and wife Kay, Houston Baker and wife Faye, all of Kannapolis; and Dale Baker of the home, three grandchildren, Amber Baker of Kannapolis and her fianc Chris Richards of Belmont, Courtney Baker and Clint Baker both of Concord
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be sent to North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church, 314 West 12th Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
