Lewis Gurley Moose Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Lewis Gurley "L.G." Moose, Jr., 92, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Trinity Glen in Winston Salem.
A graveside service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Phaniels Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Michael Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow at the church cemetery in Rockwell.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 3:45 pm Sunday at Phaniels Baptist Church Sanctuary.
Mr. Moose was born February 17, 1930 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Lewis G. Moose, Sr. and Mary Corl Moose. He was a member of Phaniels Baptist Church and was a former salesman for Carolina Tire Co. in Concord. Mr. Moose loved all his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Emory and Boyd Moose.
Mr. Moose is survived by his wife of 72 years, Nell Barrier Moose; daughter, Lisa Sprinkle and husband Keith of Salisbury; daughter-in-law, Lisa Moose of Birmingham, AL; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
