Lila Pauline Barnhardt's Obituary
Mrs. Lila Pauline Agner Barnhardt, 94, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013, in her beloved country home that her and her husband built and lived in for many happy years.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joe Harding will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:00 pm Thursday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barnhardt was born on September 19, 1919 in Edgefield County, SC. She was a daughter of the late William Ed Agner and Nettie Willis Agner Kidd. She worked as a hemmer for Cannon Mills. Mrs. Barnhardt was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Concord and a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 851 in Kannapolis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Barnhardt; and six brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Barnhardt is survived by her son, Joseph Barnhardt of Mt. Pleasant; and one grandchild, Sarah Barnhardt.
Mrs. Barnhardt enjoyed the past twelve years of life thanks to her loving sister Margie and her great nieces Penny, Margie and Cortney. The Coltrane L.I.F.E. Center also greatly contributed to her wonderful quality of life.
