Linda Mae Kiser Overcash's Obituary
Ms. Linda Mae Kiser Overcash, 76, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in Concord.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Victory Temple. Rev. Gary Posey will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 am Saturday at Victory Temple.
Ms. Overcash was born May 9, 1947 in Salisbury. She was a daughter of the late Tommy Cook and Viola Blackwelder Kiser. She was a member of Victory Temple and was a born again Christian. She loved to travel, especially to the beach. Her favorite color was Big Apple Red. Linda loved to talk and listen to people. She retired from What-a-Burger #10 after 35 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonda Hollars; three brothers, Billy Ray Cook, James Kiser, and Jerry Kiser; grandson, Drew Marlow; and granddaughter, Kayla Ross.
Ms. Overcash is survived by her soulmate, Hal Overcash of Kannapolis; seven children, Clyde Ross, Jr. and wife Audrey, Angie Ross, and Steve Ross and wife Teresa, all of Concord, Jeffrey Kiser, Sr. of Albemarle, Greg Ross, Sr. of Salisbury, and Todd Overcash of Kannapolis; sister, Mary Whitley of Concord; brother, Kenneth Kiser of Salisbury; 14 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; and her extended family, Roy and wife Pam Lucas and their children, Kori and Zackary.
