Linda Carol Purser's Obituary
Mrs. Linda Carol Walters Purser, 71, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.
We know GOD needed a special angel when he took our precious Linda; mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to be with him. Her daughter Tammy and granddaughter Danielle has been the light of her life. She was known by everyone for baking sweets from scratch. Her sister, brother and nieces were dear to her heart and her door was always open for family and friends, she kept our secrets and made us laugh. To know her was to love her and she will be deeply missed by all of us whose lives she touched.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Vaudry Tucker will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 12:30 to 1:45 pm Sunday prior to the service.
Mrs. Purser was born on June 28, 1942 in Cabarrus County. She was a child of the late Floyd Patterson Walters and Eunice Beatrice Ingram Walters. She retired as a lab phlebotomist from Cabarrus Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Purser is survived by her daughter, Tammy Purser Steele of Kannapolis; sister, Ann Corntassel and husband, Donald of Kannapolis; brother, Floyd Lee Walters and wife Diann of Kannapolis; granddaughter, Danielle Steele; three nieces, Jennifer Nobles Parks, Melony Nobles and Angie Walters Price and husband, Jimmy; three great nieces, Whitney Parks and Amber and Ivey Price; and companion and dear friend, Richard Greene.
