Lloyd Willis Waggoner's Obituary
Mr. Lloyd Willis Waggoner, 80, of Morland Park Road, died Friday, May 7, 2010, at the home of his son in Belmont.
A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Gospel Lighthouse Church in China Grove. Rev. Joel Ervin will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3:00 pm Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
Mr. Waggoner was born on January 13, 1930 in Kannapolis. He was a son of the late Harry Bell Waggoner and Eula Lipe Waggoner. He retired after 50 years employment from the packing room of Cannon Mills and was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hattie Waggoner; two sons, Lloyd Waggoner of Belmont and David Waggoner of Camden, SC; daughter, Marilyn Yates of Kannapolis; two sisters, Carolyn Brown of Landis and Jane Evans of Enochville; three step-children and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
