Lois Ellen Blackwelder's Obituary
Miss Lois Ellen Blackwelder, 79, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Monday, January 9, 2023, at North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church. Rev. Joy Garman, Rev. Ron Haithcock and Rev. Steve Beam will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
She will lie in-state beginning at 2:00 pm Monday at North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church.
Lois was born July 18, 1943 in Concord. She was the daughter of the late Carl Dexter Blackwelder and Dorothy Bost Blackwelder. She was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School class of 1961 and a graduate of North State Business College.
Lois worked as a Bookkeeper for 45 years in the CPA office of McClary, Stocks, Smith, Campbell and Dendy, P.A. in Kannapolis. She was a lifetime member of North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church where she faithfully served in many positions including, church treasurer, pianist, office secretary and a member of the Board of Administration.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Oscar Blackwelder.
