Lois Shaver Davis' Obituary
Mrs. Lois Shaver Davis, 83, a resident of Five Oaks Manor and formerly of South Main Street, Kannapolis, died Thursday, August 22, 2002, at Five Oaks Manor.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, August 24, 2002, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jim Bowen will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 PM Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis was born December 12, 1918 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late Alvin Pliney Shaver and Katherine Myers Shaver. She was retired having worked for W.T. Grant Co., and was also an Avon representative. She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church and graduated from school in Woodleaf, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Moses Davis, in July 1981.
Mrs. Davis is survived by three sons, Glenn Gary Davis of Sherrills Ford, NC, T. Steve Davis of Matthews, NC, Michael F. Davis of Charlotte; one sister, Ruth White of Mocksville; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
