Lois Parham Smith Gregory's Obituary
Mrs. Lois Parham Smith Gregory, 77, of 310 Cottage Drive, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Landis Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Honeycutt will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at her residence.
Mrs. Gregory was born March 16, 1934 in Kannapolis. She was a daughter of the late Elva Howard Parham and Stella Simmons Parham. She retired from the #6 weave room of Cannon Mills Plant #1 where she worked as a weaver. She faithfully attended Landis Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gregory is survived by her husband, Ralph A. Gregory; son, Joe Howard Smith and wife, Patty of Gastonia; two step-daughters, Barbara Garmon of Elkin and Linda Cheek of Landis; step-son, Michael Scott Gregory of High Point; two sisters, Emma Hickman of Royston, GA and Annie Smith of China Grove; two sisters-in-law, Louise Parham of Lake Wales, FL and Louise Dove of Royston, GA; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews that were very fond of her.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
