Luther Adolphus Brigman's Obituary
Mr. Luther Adolphus Brigman, 86, of 220 Bishop Lane, Apt. 208, Concord, and formerly of Debbie Street in Kannapolis, died Friday, March 11, 2005, at the Brian Center in Concord.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2005, at Parkwood Baptist Church. The Rev. Darrell Coble and the Rev. Bo Sherrill will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The body will remain at Lady's Funeral Home until taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence.
Born August 19, 1918, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Dolphus Butler Brigman and Annie Belle Overcash Brigman. He retired in 1983 from the No. 7 Weave Room at Cannon Mills Plant One, following 46 years of service. He was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church and the National Fraternal Society of the Deaf. He was a former member of the Deaf Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Marie Huffman Brigman; and several nieces and nephews, Gale Brigman and his wife Pat of Kannapolis, Coy Dean Brigman and his wife Dee of Havelock, Jerry Brigman and his wife Mary Etta of Mooresville, Betty Coggins and her husband Norman of Salisbury, Dean Icard and her husband Jimmy of Kannapolis, Maryann Nance and her husband Mason of Monroe, Bobby Brigman of Kannapolis, Gilbert Brigman, Jr. and his wife Doris of Mt. Pleasant, Ray Sides and his wife Helen of Norfolk, Va., Pam Correll and her husband Arnold of Tennessee, and Roy Sides and his wife Irene of Lincolnton.
