Madalene Fisher Smith's Obituary
Madalene Fisher Smith, 61, of Kannapolis, died Thursday, August 4, 2003, at NorthEast Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2003, at Midway United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dave Cash and the Rev. Billy Rintz will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Born September 10, 1941, in Washington, DC, she was a daughter of Ben H. Fisher and Julia Little Fisher of Kannapolis. She had lived in this area most of her life and was a homemaker. Mrs. Smith was a member of Midway United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school, was a member of the Council, served as a youth counselor, and was a member of the choir. She was also a manager for the Red Cross Disaster Shelter.
Survivors in addition to her parents include her husband, Larry C. Smith, Sr.; two sons, Chuck Smith and his wife, Kim, and Doyle Smith and his wife, Bridget, all of Kannapolis; a sister, Brenda Seaford of Kannapolis; a brother, Gray Fisher of Kannapolis; and two grandchildren, Devin Smith and Dylan Smith.
