Madelline Campbell Donehue's Obituary
Mrs. Madelline Campbell Donehue, 84, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at her home.
A funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Shawn Beaver will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:45 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Burial will be at 10:00 am Monday at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
Mrs. Donehue was born June 23, 1932 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late Albert F. Campbell and Edna Bolick Campbell. She retired from Cannon Mills Plant One in Kannapolis where she worked as an inspector in the Sewing Room. She was an avid cook, fisherwoman and mom and grandmother to all were some of her greatest passions in life.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Preston Donehue, Sr.; and two sons, William James and Danny Lee James.
Mrs. Donehue is survived by a son, Willie Donehue, Jr. of Kannapolis; daughter, Vickie Clay of Kannapolis; two sisters, Juanita Williams of Kannapolis and Maxine Campbell of Kansas City, MO; brother, Gordon Campbell of Enochville; and 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
