Margalene Hager Shimpock's Obituary
Margalene "Doody" "Moo Moo" Hager Shimpock, 77, of 388 Laurel Crest Drive, Enochville, died Monday, June 1, 2209, at Five Oaks Manor.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2009 at The Amity House at Lady's. The Rev. Richard Rhoades will officiate. The family will greet friends at an ice cream social following the service at the Amity House.
Born July 22, 1931 in Cornelius, Margalene was the daughter of the late Robert Hager and Ruby Ruthena Harwell Hager. She retired on July 31, 1996 from the sheet department of Cannon Mills, following more than 46 years of employment. She was a member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church. She was a volunteer train host with the North Carolina Department of Transportation for several years. She also enjoyed serving as a volunteer for Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Troy Shimpock and John Eagle; and two brothers, William Thomas Hager and Tim McCoy Hager.
Survivors include a daughter, Yolonda Shimpock of Enochville; one sister, Travis Morris of Charlotte; and a brother, Mack Hager of Kannapolis.
