Margaret Louise Davis' Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Louise Cauble Davis, 79, formerly of Kannapolis, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, February 15, 2015, at Jackson Park United Methodist Church. Rev. Neal Brower will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:00 pm Sunday at Jackson Park United Methodist Church
Mrs. Davis was born April 16, 1935 in Granite Quarry. She was the daughter of the late Marvin Glenn Cauble, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Drye Cauble. She graduated from Winecoff High School, class of 1953, and took medical secretary training at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Davis worked for 30 years as a secretary for Troxler Equipment Company in Concord and ten years as a receptionist for Cabarrus Arena and Events Center. Mrs. Davis’ other activities have included being Heart Fund captain, Easter Seal worker for five years, member of Children’s Center, Volunteer at CMC Hospital Auxiliary, lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi, Junior Women’s Club of Kannapolis, Cabarrus County Chairwoman for the American Cancer Society and Chairman of Old Photos on Cannon Appreciation Day. She was a member of Jackson Park United Methodist Church and was the Lay Woman of the Year for the Methodist Conference in 2009.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Matthew Davis in 2007; and two brothers, Richard “Dick” David Cauble and Marvin Glenn Cauble, Jr.
Mrs. Davis is survived by two daughters, Donna D. Harkey of Concord and Rhonda Davis of Pleasant Garden; daughter-in-law, Trenessa Dammann; four grandchildren, Lauren Fraley, Lesleigh White and husband, John, Jeffrey Porter and Matthew Porter and wife, Hope; and six great grandchildren, Timber Fraley, Tate White, Tilleigh White,
Tanner White, Zoey Marie Porter and Dean Matthew Porter.
