Margaret Hunsucker Johnson's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Hunsucker Johnson, 80, of 26 Robinwood Drive, Midland, formerly of Weldon Circle, Concord died Thursday, August 19, 2004 at NorthEast Medical Center after three weeks of serious illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2004, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Ralph Johnston will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of a son, Robert Johnson, 6610 Weldon Circle, Concord.
Mrs. Johnson was born June 22, 1924 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Gilbert Hunsucker and Mary Ethel Ervin Hunsucker. She retired from the washcloth department of Cannon Mills plant one in Kannapolis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ray Johnson, in 1988.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, Robert Ray Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Carol Ann, and James Steven Johnson and his wife, Ellen, all of Concord; two, sisters, Mrs. Mildred Lyerly of Kannapolis and Mrs. Mary Wilkerson of Red Barn, VA; one brother, Bob Hunsucker of Grovetown, GA; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and a loving friend and companion, James M. Lisk.
