Margaret Haskins Shumake's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Ann Haskins Shumake, 68, a resident of Autumn Care of Salisbury and formerly of North Church Avenue and Britthaven of Kannapolis, died Saturday, October 21, 2006, at the nursing facility.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Evangelist Duane Mann will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of Sharlene Winecoff, 811 Harry Street, China Grove.
Born July 16, 1938, in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Haskins and Lula Dee Haskins. She retired several years ago from Cannon Mills, Plant Six in Concord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Carroll Shumake; and two sons, Tony Carroll Shumake and Eric D. Shumake.
Survivors include a son, Shane L. Shumake of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Christina Shumake, Michael Shumake, Jeffery Shumake and Jonathan Shumake; great-granddaughter, Taylor Shumake; and her caregiver, Sharlene Winecoff.
