Marilyn Arlene Hurlburt's Obituary
Marilyn Arlene Hurlburt, 63, of Easy Street, Concord, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Concord First Assembly, 150 Warren C. Coleman Blvd., Concord. The Rev. Jeff Burris and the Rev. Mike Thevenin will officiate. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Saturday at Concord First Assembly.
Born December 15, 1946 in Canandaigua, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lester Morrow and Marion Williams Morrow. Marilyn was a homemaker and member of Harvest Community Church. She loved the Lord and demonstrated her faith in every aspect of her life. Her family is blessed to know she was saved more than forty years ago and is now made whole in heaven for eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She leaves behind a legacy of believers that will share the gospel with others with the same kindness and graciousness that Marilyn did. Her family thanks you for your prayers and support during this difficult time.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Bounds; and a brother, Thomas Morrow.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Hurlburt of the home; three daughters, Shelly Rocha and husband, Ery, of Kannapolis, Roxann Vaneekhoven and husband, Fred, of Concord, Brenda Anderson and husband, Ken, of Canandaigua, NY; a son, Robert Hurlburt of Canandaigua, NY; a sister, Nancy Johnson of New York; three brothers, Charles Morrow, Edward Morrow and Roger Morrow, all of New York; eight grandchildren, Yohann Rocha, Andrew Rocha, Luke Vaneekhoven, Amberlynne Anderson, Christopher Anderson, Austin Anderson, T a Hurlburt and Tanner Hurlburt; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Marilyn Hurlburt Fun in the Sun Children's Fund, PO Box 7, Concord, NC 28026.
