Marilyn Joyce Ivey's Obituary
Mrs. Marilyn Joyce Williams Ivey, 47, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.
A memorial service is scheduled for 8:00 pm Monday, July 11, 2016, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. J.M. Fulk, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:45 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ivey was born November 15, 1968 in Jacksonville, FL. She was a daughter of John Allen Williams and Joyce Clark Williams, both of Concord. She worked for CSI in Harrisburg and Viance in Charlotte as a Human Resource Manager. Mrs. Ivey loved spending time at the softball field supporting her daughters. She was a very loving person who touched many hearts, especially her family’s. Her son, Clark, made her very proud with all he has accomplished in auto mechanics. Mrs. Ivey was a very attentive listener and was always there for anyone who needed advice and guidance.
Mrs. Ivey, in addition to her parents, is survived by her husband, John Ivey; two daughters, Ashleigh Elaine Ivey and Parker Lee Ivey, both of the home; son, Clark Williams Ivey of the home; sister, Brenda Cochran and husband Adam of Charlotte; and her nephew, R.J. Cochran.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Susan G. Komen Foundation, 2316 Randolph Road, Charlotte, NC 28207 in Marilyn’s memory.
