Marjorie Thelma Nichols Crisp's Obituary
Mrs. Marjorie Thelma Nichols Crisp, 95, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, June 9, 2017, at Lowell Church of God. Pastor Joe Heffner and Dr. Greg Sloop will officiate. The body will lie in-state at the church from 12:30 to 1:45 pm. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crisp was born August 22, 1921 in McAdenville, NC. She was the daughter of the late Frank Nichols and Nellie Victoria Rhyne Nichols. Mrs. Crisp was a member of Kannapolis “West A” Church of God and Lowell Church of God. She retired from Rex Mills. After her retirement, she traveled and worked with her late husband for JP Sports Productions televising sporting events across the United States.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Hershel William Crisp; and son, Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Crisp.
Mrs. Crisp is survived by son, Rev. Samuel Reid Crisp and wife Brenda of Kannapolis; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
