Marlené Cain's Obituary
Marlené Baker Cain of Kannapolis, ascended from this earth and went Special Delivery and wrapped in Love to Live with her Lord Jesus Christ in His Heavenly Kingdom on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
She was born in Cabarrus County. She was preceded in ascension by her father, Maurice Glenn Baker and her mother, Nona Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in ascension to heaven by her brothers, Lyndon Baker and Charles Rankin Baker; her sister, Frances Baker Thomas; and her husband, Earl Cain.
Loving and Missing her still here on earth are two daughters, Tracy Cain of Kannapolis and Roxanne Cain Tilley and husband, James, of Mooresville; three grandchildren, Kristen Cain Thomas, Robert McGalliard and Christian McGalliard; and five great grandchildren, Baylee, Brody, Chandler, Raylon and Elora. She is also survived by three sons, Randy Cain, Rocky Cain and Jonathan Cain
Marlené was a member of One Way Inn Church in Kannapolis, ministered by Pastor Jeff Wood, where she worked in Public Relations and was essential in bringing actor/singer Pat Boone to the church in 1981. She also served as Youth Leader, Ladies’ Minister and makeup artist for the church’s television program, “A Cry In The Wilderness”.
Marlené was also a talented artist in painting, poetry and writing. Marlené was employed by Cannon Mills and the Concord Telephone Company and was first and foremost an Ambassador for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a wonderful example of His Love and a dedicated, unconditionally loving and wonderful Mother.
A Celebration of Her Life service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jeff Wood will officiate.
There will be a family visitation from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home. All are invited to The Amity House at Lady’s after the service.
