Marlene Walters Story's Obituary
Mrs. Ella Marlene Walters Story, 65, of 501 Old Creek Court, Kannapolis, died Thursday, January 13, 2005, at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bobby Sutherland will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence on Old Creek Court and at the home of her son, Jay LeeRoy Marlowe, 240 Indian Springs Road, Cleveland, NC.
Born November 13, 1939 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Walters and Johnsie Estelle Jackson Walters. She was formerly employed for 30 years at Jolene's Nursing Home in Salisbury.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Russell Story, who died in 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Darlene Peoples of Cleveland and Donna Carol Watson of Kannapolis; a son, Jay LeeRoy Marlowe of Cleveland; one brother, Frank Walters of Kannapolis; three stepsons, William Tony Story of China Grove, James Russell Story and Dennis Dean Story of Landis; and a grandson, Franklin Leo Agee III.
