Martha Ada Ball Foster's Obituary
Mrs. Martha Ada Ball Foster, 73, of 511 Bostian Avenue, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011, at CMC-NorthEast in Concord.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Rev. Jim Grigg will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at her residence.
Mrs. Foster was born August 20, 1937 in Buchanan County, VA. She was a daughter of the late Henry Harmon Ball and Mary Naomi Price Ball. She was as a homemaker and was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Foster; four sisters, Edna Whitt, Ollie Dale, Maudie Rose and Margie Stiltner; and three brothers, Everett, Harmon and Roy Ball.
Mrs. Foster is survived by two sons, Leon Ball and wife Tammy of Kannapolis and Mitchell Ball and wife Carolyn of Rochelle, VA; three sisters, Ocie B. Barton of Davenport, VA, Naomi B. Baldwin of Rupert, WV and Ann B. Cook of Salem, VA; two brothers, Bill Ball of Council, VA and Lee Ball of Meadowview, VA; five grandchildren, Amanda Ball, Louie Ball, C.E. Ball and Josh Ball, all of Rochelle, VA and Ronnie Guill of Kannapolis; six great grandchildren, Samantha Ball, Faith Ball, Hannah Guill, Matthew Guill, Bella Guill and Kaylee Guill; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin Heights Baptist Church, Building For Generations Fund, 526 Wright Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
