Martha Overcash McQueen's Obituary
Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Overcash "Mot" McQueen, 91, a resident of Avante at Concord, and formerly of Highland Avenue, Concord, died Friday, March 9, 2007, at the nursing center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tim McQueen will officiate. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Born July 5, 1915, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. McQueen was the daughter of the late Mack Ivey Overcash and Laura Ada Shue Overcash. She retired several years ago from Cannon Mills Plant No. 6 in Concord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Alexander McQueen; and her son, Edward Junior McQueen.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Tony McQueen and wife, Karen, of Concord, Roxann Linker and husband, Sam, of Kannapolis, Tim McQueen and wife, Donna, of Dunn; and four great-grandchildren, Jessica Biggers and husband, Alan, of Kannapolis, Chad McQueen of Concord, Stephen McQueen and Michael McQueen, both of Dunn.
