Mary Banes Quay's Obituary
Mary Banes Quay, 86, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Eastland Nursing Center in Charlotte.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Harrisburg Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Rev. Bennie Burgess will officiate.
The family will greet friends following the service.
Mary was born June 3, 1937 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late M. F. Quay and Dorothy Miller Quay. She was a member of Harrisburg Presbyterian Church. Mary retired from being a teacher assistant for Cabarrus County Schools at Harrisburg Elementary School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Steven Carriker.
Mary is survived by her granddaughter, Bethany Lynn Carriker-Christy of Kannapolis; and sister, Nancy Stewart of York, SC.
