Mary Ballard Ross' Obituary
Mrs. Mary Ballard Ross, 93, of 205 Echo Avenue, Kannapolis, died Monday, December 1, 2008.
A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Carolina Memorial Park. Dr. Thomas E. Cabaniss will officiate.
Mrs. Ross was born in Richmond County on July 24, 1915, a daughter of the late, Edgar T. Ballard and Bernice Green Ballard. She retired from the Sheet Department of Cannon Mills Co. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Kannapolis, and was a member of the King's Daughters Sunday School Class. She was a former member of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Ross, who died in 1962.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marvin "Gail" Query of Salisbury; a son, Robert Lee Ross and wife, Annis, of High Rock; grandchildren, Denean Beauprè, Daylon Query, Alan Ross and Craig Ross; three step-grandchildren, Scott, Todd and Kevin Hunsucker; four great-grandchildren, Amanda Query, Jacob Query, Makenna Ross, and Sydney Ross; one great-great-grandchild, Karl Ross Teiterman; and a special caregiver, Katherine Ohmes.
Memorials for Mrs. Ross may be made to the First Baptist Church, 101 North Main Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
