Mary Ann Williamson's Obituary
Mary Ann Williamson, 73, of China Grove, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the KBR Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm, Friday, January 11, 2013 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Gold Hill. Rev. Anthony Moore will officiate.
Born April 9, 1939 in Rowan County to the late Joe Edwards and Ethel Correll Edwards. She was educated in the Rowan County schools.
She was employed by Cannon Mills until she retired. She loved animals, gardening and growing plants and flowers. Being part Native American, she was very proud of her heritage and liked Native American artwork.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Heather Welch.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by one son, Billy Joe Vaughn and wife Bonnie of Gold Hill; three daughters, Charlene Ann Jones and husband Jerry of Salisbury, Anita Gail Correll of China Grove and Kathy Louise King and fiance Bobby Campbell of Rockwell; special cousin, Barbara Hargett of Kannapolis; eight grandchildren, B.J. Vaughn, Jr. and fiancee Samantha, Crystal Jones, Jerrie Jones, Anna Propst, Ethan Propst, Matthew King, Chandler King and Kailey Campbell; and two great grandchildren.
