From the children of Maxine Inman Brumley:
Our Momma, was a loyal wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She loved hard, forgave freely, and gave un-
selfishly to all who knew her. She was funny, sweet and kind, always believing the best in people. She was intelligent, talented, re-
sourceful, gifted, caring and fully poured out her exceptional ability to love unconditionally. Her greatest accomplishment was en-
compassed in the example of how she lived her life before others. Alzheimers began to steal this cherished mother away from us
years ago. In the last year of her life the ugliness of the aggressive progression of this disease stole more and more away from us. In
her last days we could still see her fight the disease and could tell deep within her teary eyes she knew we were special to her, and
we hold on to believing she knew us as her children. Our Momma being the hero and fighter she was had the last say. A few days
before her passing she told her caregiver she was ready to go home. Home being her assurance that her Savior Jesus Christ had it
all prepared for her and eternal life without the suffering was in her future. She knew the best was yet to come! Even in the face of
death, she showed us how to die. Go when you are satisfied, just as she did.
On the evening of June 19, 2022 a beautiful love story continued. Our Momma gave our Daddy the Best Father's Day present ever
by joining him in heaven. We wonder if she was surprised to see that he had beat her there? We had avoided telling her about
Daddy’s passing a few months earlier because her personal state of suffering was enough to bear. What a reunion in heaven that
must have been! We love you forever Momma, you will be with us always, kept warm in the hole in our hearts that will never heal.
We are so happy you are finally whole again and reunited with Daddy and our loved ones who have gone on before us. Until we
meet again we will never stop missing you...we loved you with our first breath and we will love you until and beyond our last.
Love Eternally,
Your Children, Lacy, Joy and Lori
