Minnie Faye McManus' Obituary
Miss Minnie Faye McManus, 64, a resident of Concord House, and formerly of Kannapolis, died Saturday, November 4, 2006, at NorthEast Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2006, at Faith Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. James Pauley will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:15 to 1:45 p.m. Monday at the church. At other times they will be at the home of her brother, Harold McManus, 1215 Highway 153, China Grove.
Born August 6, 1942, in Chesterfield County, SC, she was the daughter of the late W. Rustin McManus and Mamie Jordan McManus. She grew up in Kannapolis and was active for many years in programs offered through the YMCA for the mentally retarded. She also participated in many activities that Cabarrus County provided for retarded citizens. She was a former member of the Sunday school at Skyland Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, William G. McManus, Dallas McManus, Bobby McManus and Monroe McManus.
Survivors include her brother, Harold McManus and wife, Patricia, of China Grove; aunts, nieces and nephews.
