Mitchell Troy Sartain's Obituary
Mr. Mitchell Troy Sartain, 70, of 507 E. 12th Street, Kannapolis, died Tuesday, October 25, 2005, at NorthEast Medical Center in Concord, following three years of declining health and a serious illness of six months.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2005 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bennie Burgess will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home of a sister, Martha Spencer, 1501 Valwood Street, Kannapolis.
Born July 14, 1935, in Royston, Georgia, Mr. Sartain was the son of the late Grover Odell Sartain and Mazell Graham Sartain. He retired from the card room of Fieldcrest-Cannon Mills and was a veteran of the US Army.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Williams Sartain; a son, Tim Sartain of the home; and two sisters, Lucille Hatley and Martha Spencer, both of Kannapolis.
