Monty Dewayne Freeman's Obituary
Mr. Monty Dewayne Freeman, 48, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017, at Carolinas HealthCare System-NorthEast in Concord after fighting a long battle with an extended illness.
A funeral service is scheduled for 6:00 pm Sunday, November 12, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dennis Morgan will officiate. A private family graveside service is scheduled for a later date at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 5:45 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Freeman was born March 29, 1969 in Union County. He was a son of Pat Godwin Gray and the late Ralph K. Freeman.
Mr. Freeman is survived by wife, Elizabeth Brown Freeman; three children, Austin Freeman and Bailey Freeman, both of the home and Matthew Pletcher and wife Anna of Landis; mother, Pat Godwin Gray and husband L. D. of Kannapolis; three brothers, Derek Baucom, Jeffery Baucom and wife Cindy, both of Kannapolis and Gregory Belk and wife Karen of New London; sister, Tamara Rolla and husband Keith of Landis; grandson, Jayden Pletcher; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all the special physicians and staff of Carolinas Medical Center-Main, Carolinas HealthCare System-NorthEast and Carolinas Rehabilitation for all the love, care and help they provided.
