Myrtle White Ketchie Roberts' Obituary
Myrtle White Ketchie Roberts, 97, of Kannapolis, died Sunday, August 20, 2023.
Myrtle was born July 19, 1926, in Alexander County, the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Cordia Teague White. In addition to her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her brother, Kelly White, and sister, Bonnie Cox.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her first husband, R.L. (Bob) Ketchie. They had one daughter, Cookie Ketchie Athanaelos, and one granddaughter, Georgann Athanaelos Sapp and husband, Jeff.
Myrtle was also preceded in death by her second husband, J.B. Roberts Jr. and is survived by stepchildren, Jim Roberts and wife Dianne; John Roberts and wife Ruthie; Charles Roberts; Mike Roberts and wife Michele; Lisa Green and husband Merrill; Bob Roberts and wife Kay; Joe Roberts and wife Martha. Step-grandchildren, Eugene, Bost, John II, Stephen, Joshua, Sara Kate, Jacob, Jessica, Alex, Elizabeth, Luke, Benjamin, Katie, Jeb, Gracie, and Claire, and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
She is survived by nieces Judy Hoffman (late Gregory Hoffman) and Kay Harrison (Reverend David); and nephews Dan Haga (Judy), Homer Ketchie (Barbara), and Ed Ketchie, Jr. (Ann); and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
