Nancy Lee Carter's Obituary
Mrs. Nancy Lee Northam Hathaway Carter, 75, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Carolinas Healthcare System - NorthEast in Concord.
A memorial service will be held at a later date by the family.
Mrs. Carter was born March 11, 1941 in Cabarrus County. She was the daughter of the late Dwight Northam and Florence Russell Northam. She worked for Terry Products as a seamstress and was a former co-owner of The Sign Doctor. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and enjoyed shopping and fishing as long as her health permitted.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Carter, and her daughter, Susan Key.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her son, Richard “Steve” Stevens and wife, Elizabeth, of Kannapolis; two brothers, Michael Northam of Kannapolis and Martin Gaston Northam of Jacksonville, NC; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and her faithful canine companion, Peanut.
