Norman Lee's Obituary
Mr. Norman Lee, 83, of 219 W. "G" St., died Friday, April 24, 2008, at CMC-NorthEast.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Joel Ervin will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service on Tuesday.
Mr. Lee was born in Cabarrus County on April 5, 1925. He was a son of the late Willis James Lee and Nannie Hammons Lee. A member of Calvary Baptist Church, he retired from Cannon Mills Plant No. 4 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ruth Souther Lee, who died on March 20, 2008; a daughter; Joyce Ann Lee; and his step-mother, Julia Donaldson Lee.
Mr. Lee is survived by his son, Leonard James Lee and his wife, Catherine, of China Grove; grandsons, Steven Michael Lee and Brandon Scott Lee and his wife, Sabrina; two great-grandsons, Zac and Zoie; a half-sister, Libby Oswalt; and two half-brothers, William H. Lee and David Lee.
