Oscar Rickert Fellman's Obituary
Mr. Oscar Rickert Fellman, 91, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Universal Healthcare in Concord.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Robert Greene will officiate. Burial with military rites will be at 11:00 am Monday at Salisbury National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:45 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Fellman, a longtime resident of North Carolina, was born October 29, 1920 in Doylestown, PA. He was the youngest of 10 children of the late Oscar E. Fellman and Barbara Rickert Fellman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. He was a member of Broadus Baptist Church in Concord and the VFW. After being honorably discharged, he was a baker and retired as a door to door milkman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.
Mr. Fellman is survived by his wife of 66 years, Martha Elizabeth Hallman Fellman; daughter, Barbara F. Crisp and husband Ray of Harrisburg; sister, Edith Cox of Lansdale, PA; and granddaughter, Christina C. Hudek and husband Jason of Harrisburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Broadus Baptist Church, 59 Green Street SW, Concord, NC 28027.
