Owen White Joyner's Obituary
Mr. Owen White Joyner, 64, of 510 Camrose Circle, Concord, NC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 12, 2005, at NorthEast Medical Center in Concord after a month of serious illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, January 15, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Art Webb will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park with Masonic Graveside Services provided by Stokes Masonic Lodge #32.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Mr. Joyner.
Mr. Joyner was born August 12, 1940 in Cabarrus County. He was the son of the late Owen G. Joyner and Mary White Joyner. He was an assistant manager of K-Town Furniture in Concord and was formerly employed by Hub Furniture Company. He was a very active member of New Life Fellowship Church. He was a member and Chaplain of Stokes Masonic Lodge #32. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Vietnam Era.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia B. Bonds.
Mr. Joyner is survived by his wife of 33 years, Shirley Allman Joyner; two daughters, Martie Suther and her husband, Arnold, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC and Diane Ross of Concord; one son, Wayne Billings and his wife, Sandy, of Concord; seven grandchildren, Danielle Suther and Trai Suther of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, Spencer Bonds of Belmont, NC, Bobbie Weatherly, Lynnette Keller, Shellie Tyson, and Tracie Ross, all of Concord; seven great grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan, Kelsey, Brandon, Kyndel, Ryan, and Riley; and five cousins.
Memorials may be sent to the Building Fund of New Life Fellowship Church, 4065 Poplar Tent Road, Concord, NC 28027 in memory of Mr. Joyner.
