Patricia Ann Hill's Obituary
Mrs. Patricia Barringer Hill, 73, of Kannapolis, passed away suddenly Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Big Elm Retirement Center.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 5, 2013 at Kannapolis Church of God. Rev. Barbara Watkins will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 am Friday, prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Hill was born on December 1, 1939 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late William Eugene Barringer and Floe Hart Barringer Long. Mrs. Hill retired as a secretary with Western Electric in Charlotte. She had previously worked at Southern Bell. She was a member of Kannapolis Church of God and the United Commercial Travelers Club. She was formerly in the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Clayton Hill.
Mrs. Hill is survived by her daughter, Crystal Hill Combs and husband Andy of Troutman; two brothers, Reid Barringer and wife Linda of Kannapolis and Gene Barringer and wife Beadie of Concord; aunt, Mary Riggs of Lenoir; and two grandchildren, Madison Anne Combs and Meredith Faye Combs.
The family would like to thank Mary and Doug Singleton for all of their love and support for Pat all of these years and to Rev. Barbara Watkins for endless prayers and visits.
