Patty Jane Reed Warburton's Obituary
Mrs. Patty Jane Reed Warburton, 81, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, January 22, 2022, in Whidden Auditorium at Multiply Church (formerly Concord First Assembly Worship Center). Pastor Doug Witherup, Senior Pastor at Multiply Church, and Pastor Jon Harless, Pastor of The Brook Church, will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 pm Saturday at Multiply Church.
Mrs. Warburton was born January 15, 1941 in Peterstown, WV. She was a daughter of the late Otis Garthell Reed and Mildred Dunn Reed. She graduated from Peterstown High School, Class of 1959 and from the West Virginia Business College in Bluefield, WV. She was the first Secretary at First Assembly Christian School, now known as Concord Academy and the current Secretary at The Brook Church in China Grove. She and her husband were faithful members since 1972 of the Multiply Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, Missionettes Leader, actively involved in Bible studies and prayer groups. The family would especially like to thank her Bible Study/Prayer Group and Widow's groups.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Curtis Warburton; and three infant granddaughters, Felicia, Nina and Nana Bushey.
Mrs. Warburton is survived by son, Michael S. Warburton of Waterbury, CT; daughter, Autumne Leigh Warburton of Concord; sister, Carol Snider and husband Merl of Peterstown, WV; three grandchildren, Anthony Bryce Bushey, Cadje Curtis Bushey and Bailey Reed Bushey; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
