Paul Milton Wilson's Obituary
Mr. Paul Milton Wilson, 89, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016, at Universal Healthcare in Concord.
A memorial service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Friday, November 4, 2016, at First Baptist Church of China Grove. His son, Rev. Steve Wilson will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:00 pm Friday at First Baptist Church of China Grove.
Mr. Wilson was born September 16, 1927 in Wilmington, DE. He was a son of Harry Ernest Wilson and Christina Burrough Wilson. He retired from the US Navy as an E-7 and later retired from Stewart Drug Company as a salesman. Mr. Wilson was a member of First Baptist Church of China Grove. He was a Christian magician and clown, known as “Willie” the clown, for many years where he entertained both people young and old. Paul was always known for putting his wife and family first.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, David and Glenn Wilson; and two brothers, David and Ernest Wilson.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 67 years Jean Elizabeth Savin Wilson; two daughters, Lori Goldensoph and husband Michael of Ft. Collins, CO and Giny Strengehagen and husband Tor of Norway; son, Steve Wilson and wife Lucy of Salisbury; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of China Grove, Mission Trip Fund, 302 Patterson Street, China Grove, NC 28023.
