Pauline Winecoff Parks Tyson's Obituary
Mrs. Pauline Winecoff Parks Tyson, 85, formerly of Robinhood Lane, died Monday, April 20, 2009, at Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Thursday, April 23, 2009, at First Wesleyan Church. Dr. Forbis Kivett will officiate. The body will lie in-state at the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tyson was born July 7, 1923 in Mecklenburg County. She was a daughter of the late James Henry Winecoff and Edna Morrison Barnette. She retired from Cannon Mills where she worked as a weaver in Plant One. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Bennett Freeze Parks and William David Tyson; daughter, Jane Hilton; brother, Harold Winecoff and a sister, Ruby Caldwell.
Mrs. Tyson is survived by daughter, Vicky Donehue and husband, Charlie of Kannapolis; son-in-law, Allen Hilton of Concord; two granddaughters, Natalie Donehue and Nicole Kee; three great grandchildren, Kaylee Salter, Austin Kee and Aaron Kee.
