Peggy Jean Drye Julian's Obituary
Mrs. Peggy Jean Drye Julian, 76, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018, at her residence in Mooresville.
A funeral service is scheduled for 3:30 pm Sunday, August 19, 2018, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Robert Suttles will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:15 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Julian was born May 13, 1942 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late B. W. Drye and Daisy Viola Horton Drye. She was a member of West Corinth Baptist Church in Mooresville. Mrs. Julian was a volunteer at Cabarrus Christian Ministries. She formerly helped coordinate the Empty Stocking Fund for Kannapolis and Cabarrus County. Mrs. Julian was a former member of the YMCA - Sigma Gradell. She was an accomplished portrait painter and her hobby was calligraphy. She worked and witnessed to women in prison through the Gideon Ministry, which she greatly enjoyed.
Mrs. Julian is survived by her husband, Frankie Norman Julian; son, Stanley Stowe of Mooresville; two step-daughters, Peche Sanders and husband Kevin of Fayetteville, GA and Wendy Gilbert and husband Phil of Sarasota, FL; sister, Patty Safrit of Concord; two grandchildren, Dylan ad Keligh Sanders; and two great grandchildren, Julian Sanders and Alexis Mashburn.
