Phyllis Virginia Martin Campbell's Obituary
Mrs. Phyllis Virginia Martin Campbell, 88, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.
A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 4500 Rimer Road, Concord, NC. Rev. Marty Ramey will officiate. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:45 pm Saturday at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Campbell was born September 21, 1936 in Concord. She was a daughter of the late Earl Washington Martin and Mae Areitta Troutman Martin. She was a life long member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church. She was involved in the Historical Committee of her church, a member of the women's circle, and numerous other activities. She was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, Class of 1954. Phyllis was active in the Cabarrus 4-H Club, a member of Cabarrus Home Extension Club, and an avid quilter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harry Campbell; son, Lawrence Dale Campbell; sister-in-law, Joyce Ann Campbell; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Cox.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by daughter, Karen Barbee and husband Terry; son, Leonard Campbell and wife Belinda; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Bost Campbell; sister, Earlene Cox, all of Concord; five grandchildren, Christopher Campbell, Beverly Campbell, Charles Barbee, Blake Barbee, and Caleb Campbell; five great grandchildren, Hannah, Steven, Alivia, Owen, and Hollie; and her loving cat, Little Fella.
