Polly Ann Lemons Smith's Obituary
Mrs. Polly Lemons Smith, 71, of 304 Houston Road, died Friday, May 16, 2008, at her residence.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 pm Monday, May 19, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at her residence.
Mrs. Smith was born September 8, 1936 in Union, NC. She was a daughter of the late Henry Leroy Lemons and Arney Crump Lemons. She retired from Templon Spinning Mills in Mooresville where she worked as a spinner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby W. Smith, in 1976; two sisters, Sarah Lambert and Loretta Lemonds; one brother, James "J.R." Lemons.
Mrs. Smith is survived by three sons, Rick Smith and wife, Faye, of Mooresville, Paul Smith and wife, Brenda, of Troutman, Danny Smith and wife, Debbie, of Statesville; sister, Helen Mogofski of Kannapolis; six grandchildren, Bobby Lee Smith, Billy Travis Smith, Jessica Jackson, Holly Smith, P.J. Smith and Timmy Smith; three great grandchildren, Alyssa Jackson, Trenidi Jackson and Kayden Lira.
