Ralph Junior Williams' Obituary
Mr. Ralph Junior Williams, 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 4, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast, with his family by his side.
Born July 13, 1926, in Union County, he was the son of the late John Caldwell Williams and Lydia Little Williams.
Mr. Williams served in the United States Navy, on board the USS Ernest G. Small and was employed in textiles. He retired from carpentry work in the 1980's. In his earlier years he was involved in music ministry and singing groups. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Kannapolis where he served as a Deacon for several years. He enjoyed woodwork, gardening, fishing, and spending time with family. He was respected and loved by family and friends who admired his genuine love for the Lord, Bible study, and quiet words of wisdom.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 5 sisters.
Survivors include wife Betty Lambert Williams; sister Hazel Williams Lambert; daughter Denise Sheets and husband Randall; son Tony Williams; two grandchildren Angela Jordan and husband Bryan, Jason Sheets and one great-grandchild, Peyton Jordan.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at Central Baptist Church.
Service: The funeral service will be immediately following the visitation. Rev. Curtis C. Parker, Rev. Allen Reid, and Rev. Dean Hunter will officiate. Interment will be on Thursday at 11 am at Carolina Memorial Park.
