Ray Vaughn Lomax's Obituary
Mr. Ray Vaughn Lomax, Jr., 86, of Meadow Lane, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at CMC-NorthEast in Concord.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. Military rites will be performed by the Military Honor Guard and the Cabarrus County Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends following the service on Saturday.
Mr. Lomax was born October 13, 1925 in Kannapolis. He was the son of the late Ray Vaughn Lomax, Sr. and Ida Castor Lomax. He worked in the Motor pool Department for NASA at the Kennedy Space Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Elaine Lomax, in 1990.
Mr. Lomax is survived by his wife, Lois McCurdy Lomax; son, Dale Lomax and wife, Marcell Hogan Lomax of Lexington; and granddaughter, Desirae Vaughn Lawson.
