Richard Clifton Horne's Obituary
Mr. Richard Clifton Horne, 44, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024, at his home in China Grove.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Gloria J. Ross and Pastor Joyce Miles will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Kannapolis.
The service will also be streamed live at www.ladysfuneralhome.com/live.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Richard was born April 6, 1980 in Cabarrus County. He was the son of the late Wilton Clifton Horne and Ruby Jean Jackson Horne. Prior to being disabled, he was a heavy equipment operator in commercial construction. He also served the community as a volunteer firefighter with Mount Mitchell Fire Department for 22 years. He was a member of Southside Church of God in China Grove.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Zachary Clifton Horne; and a sister, Donna Jackson.
Richard is survived by his wife of 23 years, Heather Michelle Freeman Horne; son, Andrew Tyler Horne; sister, Lee Ann Bivins of Boonville, NC.
