As a kid growing up in Concord and going to R Brown McAlister elementary school, Bucky Simpson was a huge part of my life. He taught me that police officers were here to help us. His kind, gentle nature made him a favorite with all of the children of Concord. Even as an adult, living in Concord, Bucky always called me by name and asked about my family. What a great mentor for our community. Bucky Simpson is one of a kind. He had an awesome impact to our community.

We are so sorry to hear about Bucky. Darrell had so many fond memories of Bucky as they were growing up. Bucky was always so much fun to be around. Even though we have not seen him in many years (since we have lived in Georgia since 1980), we still feel a great loss. But, we know we will see him again one day in Heaven. May God bless you greatly.

I attended Camp Spencer for week-long Day Camp on 3 different summers over 30 years ago. I remember him. He loved job and was so happy working with kids. Our world would be a better place if we all could leave such an impact! Prayers for the family.
Bucky coached me in Pop Warner football; he
not only taught us the game of football but he taught us about life and how to be a better person in the community. From elementary school at Coltrane-Webb to Concord
High School; the Boys & Girls Club, Keystone
Club and Camp Spencer. Bucky was always there
for all of us; we can never repay Bucky for what he did for so many young people in our
community. My thoughts and prayers are with Susan, Chad and Phillip and all the Simpson family.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Bucky. Growing up in Concord, I always knew Bucky, he taught me bicycle safty when I was a small child. Bucky always made sure we were safe as kids and teens. I rembmer him being at all of the games and dances of Concord High. He always made us feel like we were part of his family. He loved us all and we loved him. Concord lost a good man but Heaven has gained by our loss. May you feel God's love and His strong hands holding you up during this time. Susan,Phillip & Chad. I was so sorry to hear of "Bucky's" passing. As a young athlete I admired his skills as a CHS Football & Baseball player. Later I admired and respected him as a Police Officer and community leader. When I became Head Coach at CHS I admired him as a Husband, Father and neighbor. He epitomized EVERYTHING I hoped to be. I will truely miss him and dearly loved him and all of you! My prayers are with you and may GOD grant you peace during the days to come!
