To the family of Sgt. Davis, I just found out about my buddy and former co-worker. Ben would always take the time to talk to me and all the other 3rd shift staff, when he would bring ppr. work. Ben is only 1 of 2 officers in the entire dept. that I could count on no matter what the circumstances.I considered him a friend. I had to leave the dept. on Medical terms. My former Supv. Rick and also my friend emailed me with the Sad news. Ben will missed by all of us, the entire CMPD Family. God Bless All of you please know you and Ben are in my prayers. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this sad time. It was a pleasure to work with Ben at the Charlotte Police Department for many years, there was no finer person,supervisor or friend than Ben one could always count on him to stand tall behind his men in any situation. I certainly was proud to know him and he was a fine example of a man who always practiced his christian beliefs. We will all miss his wit and humor which he practiced on a regular basis, I am sure he will keep the angels in heaven laughing every day.

It was an honor to have known him. He would "pick" and joke with everyone on third shift in Records. He knew everyone's name and made everyone he came into contact with feel special just for knowing him. We would all look forward to his visits. We all loved and respected him. He was truly a wonderful person.
